I am very prompt in responding to emails, so if you do not hear from me, it is probably because either your email or my email response got stuck in a spam filter. This happens a lot with wedding related emails.
In addition, if you use GMAIL, you are in risk of having your emails rejected from a lot of places including my host’s email server. Here is the reason that explains why:

Vesna and Tony had their very intimate ceremony at the beautiful and ever-changing Portland Chinese Gardens. The event was held with their closest friends and family right before the sun fell behind the hills of Forest Park. We had the garden to ourselves for a couple of hours and took photographs at everywhere imaginable. It was quite fun and breathtaking at the same time! The reception will be couple months later - look for it here!

Lindsy and Aaron transformed the Hilton Hotel Vancouver’s Ballroom into a fantastic wedding environment - everyting from the decroations, flowers, settings to food was gorgeous. Dynamic Events outdid themselves this time with the execution and created a fantastic look.
Lindsy’s dress was also so beautiful - very flowy. Aaron had a GQ look and everybody at the wedding had a great time! We had a break in the weather as well so we were able to go outside and have some fun photos. I also got a pretty funny photo (check out the toasts!)

Hoopa

Poor squirrel

When Lindsy entered the ballroom, she was backlit with a strong spotlight. The whole room held it’s breath as she stood their in that beautiful light.
Just gorgeous! I had to change the camera settings in about 0.1 seconds but it was worth it!

Amazing decorations and settings.

The chandeliers were brough in just for this wedding

Himm, shadows… No comment!

Another Jewish tradition - Horah / Hava Nagila

Hediyeh and Anoush basically had a 4 day non-stop party during their time in Sayulita. They had a beach party the night before the wedding, which included a mariachi band, an excellent DJ, who spun upbeat club beats all night long, and a surprise fire dancer near the end of the night. On the wedding day we were a top the beautiful Villa Amor Hotel, with views of the surfers and fishermen on the Sayulita beach. As family’s gathered below in the courtyard Hediyeh and Anoush appeared at sunset and joined in the festivities, with lots of great food, tequila, dancing, dancing and if you can believe it….more dancing!!

I received this email from my friend Fritz Liedtke. The Orphan Works bill is a terrible bill that will make it very hard for photographers and other creative people to protect for their work. And if you are not a photographer, the effect on you would be possible raised prices to cover lost revenue or good photographers going out of business.
“Please make yourself aware of the bill below, which recently passed the House, and now moves on to the Senate. It will wreak havoc on our lives and businesses as copyright owners, if not stopped.
The bold link below makes it easy to send a preformatted email to your senators and representatives. I encourage you to do so; it only takes a few minutes, and could help save us from mass chaos and loss of revenue as artists and photographers.
Please pass this along to other concerned parties.”

My friend Katie sent me this and it totally blew my mind - what a brilliant idea! Julian Beever and Kurt Wenner’s art is amazing to look at and most of the time it is so hard to tell what is real and what is not.
