If you used to type “Portland Wedding Photographer” in Google, one would get a list of 7 photographers next to the map due to Google Local Business search feature. Now it only shows one company. What is odd is that particular company does not even have a optimized web page. Not sure why Google picks that one, or the one for another spamming web page, but it is pretty irritating for many other photographers, especially considering (IMHO) there are hundreds of better photographers in town.
I did a lot of search on this, and finally found that Google confirms it as a *bug*. Check out the Google Shows Only One Business Listing bug.
Angie and Warren celebrated their Vancouver wedding at the Royal Oaks Country Club. It was such a beautiful day for an outdoor summer wedding. The couple had by far the most elaborate self serve candy “bar” I’ve ever seen. At least 15 different types of goodies from the wedding couple to the guests!

I was honored to be invited to the launch party for the National Association of Catering Executives. The event was at The Nines Hotel, and it was a blast. Nines Hotel was a beautiful backdrop (I can’t wait to shoot another Nines Hotel Wedding!). The cocktails and food were out of this world, and the rooftop was beautiful. I ran into many of the top vendors in Portland, it was great to catch up! Below are couple pictures with my point and shot (a Canon SD870, one of the best P&S’s in my opinion).

Claudia and Noah celebrated their wedding day at the Elk Cove Winery in Gaston, Oregon! It was tons of fun. Elk Cove Vineyard is an amazing location, with beautiful scenery. Great flowers and cake was by Vibrant Table! The couple chose three wonderful wines to serve their guests!

Brandi and Andrew started their morning off at the Vancouver Hilton getting ready for their big day. Once everybody was ready they all headed to St. James Catholic Church a few blocks away. Brandi and her father had the best ride though in her dad’s super cool vintage car! Their ceremony was at Vancouver St. James Church, which has one of the most stunning ceilings I’ve ever seen! After the ceremony their friends and family lined the steps of the church to greet them with bubbles as they exited the church. We drove South to the East Portland waterfront for some fun and romantic photos afterward. For the reception we headed to the West side’s Portland World Trade Center, which is an amazing downtown location with graced with abundant glass architecture with dramatic views of the Willamette River and the Salmon Street Fountain. I love the lighting at Portland World Trade Center, just yummy!
