Lauren and Ryan’s Portland Lan Su Classical Chinese Gardens Wedding

Lauren and Ryan tied the knot at the gorgeous Portland Lan Su Classical Chinese Gardens. It was a super fun wedding, coordinated by Kerry Garrow of Signature Weddings and Events. The other vendors for this Portland Chinese Gardens wedding were like a best of the wedding vendors in Portland. Lauren and Ryan wanted a Portland theme wedding and allocated enough time for us to go around town on Portland wedding pedicabs (Portland Pedicabs). We got some amazing pictures going around town. The beautiful bridesmaids and handsome groomsmen did their part in making the day run smoothly as well! The getting ready was at Hotel Lucia. After Hotel Lucia, the wedding moved to Chinese Gardens. I had some unique toasting images and instead of the cake, they had amazing cupcakes from Cupcake Jones. The crowd danced until late hours with help from amazing DJ Eric Wright of All Wright Music. Delicious food was served on bamboo platters - perfect for the theme and the environment, thanks to Vibrant Table Catering and Events. Flowers are by A Floral Affair.

Jeff & Kyra’s Wedding - Chinese Gardens & Departure Restaurant and Lounge

Jeff and Kyra had an intimate wedding ceremony at one of Portland’s gems, Portland Lan Su Classical Chinese Garden, followed by a colorful reception at the Departure Restaurant at the Nines Hotel in Portland. I joined them for portraits at the Portland Lan Su Chinese Gardens and photographed the beginning of the reception. Short and sweet :) Asian themes were plenty for the day, with red colors parasol and shoes!

Carrie and Jayson’s Wedding at Portland Lan Su Chinese Garden

Portland Chinese Garden

Carrie and Jayson had a great wedding at Portland Lan Su Chinese Garden with tons of unique details and beautiful weather. It started with a great getting ready time at Benson Hotel (amazing light as you will see) and then proceeded for the ceremony and reception to Portland Lan Su Classical Chinese Gardens.

They had moon cakes as well as wedding cake, a great band, and great food from Typhoon Thai Food Restaurant. C&J set up a table decorated with wedding favors (chopsticks and take-out boxes filled with goodies) in front of their parents and grandparents wedding pictures. During the wedding ceremony, a hummingbird paid a visit to the gazebo as you will see later in the pictures!

During the cake cutting, Carrie achieved  a record by smashing cake on two “grooms”. When they were ready to cut the cake, Jayson was nowhere to be found - after waiting for a while, Jayson’s brother stepped in to cut the cake, and promptly got smashed by cake in the face. When Jayson arrived, his fate was similar. You can check it out on the next pages. (Guests and friends of Carrie and Jayson can see the rest of images here - password from Carrie and Jayson)

Associate Coverage: Vesna and Tony at the Portland Lan Su Chinese Gardens

Vesna and Tony had their very intimate ceremony at the beautiful and ever-changing Portland Chinese Gardens. The event was held with their closest friends and family right before the sun fell behind the hills of Forest Park. We had the garden to ourselves for a couple of hours and took photographs at everywhere imaginable. It was quite fun and breathtaking at the same time! The reception will be couple months later - look for it here!

Cindy and Scott at Portland Lan Su Chinese Garden

Portland’s Chinese Classical Garden is super cool. Along with Edgefield, it is my favorite location I think. We got some great shots too! This is also the first time I shot at the Tao of Tea, a favorite hang out place for me.
