Nicole and Sean’s wedding at Portland Crystal Ballroom was a lot about music. Sean is a sound engineer and they due to music, as such, music is a big part of their life. Their wedding reflected that! They had records as place mats, music posters printed for their wedding, and custom drum sticks as favors. Crystal Ballroom is a really fun venue and I love shooting there. Lots of architecture, great floor and a positive energy.
Here are some of the vendors we worked with on this Crystal Ballroom wedding:
Caterer McMenamin’s
Baker: Lamb’s Thriftway
Musician: Devin Phillips
Transportation: PDX Pedicab
Florist: Bloomsberry Floral

Shannon and Woojay’s Elk Cove Vineyards wedding had a ton of unique touches! From my favorite groom wedding cake (a Canon camera groom wedding cake, yay!) to a cutie dog ring bearer to amazing food, everything was top notch. We love Elk Cove Vineyards for their wine already (try their Pinot Gris - named to Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2010!) but the setting is gorgeous as well of course! (See our other Elk Cove Vineyards weddings!) And their “guest book” wasa hand made painting where guests were asked to leave a finger print to form leaves with different colors!
Here are some pictures from their Elk Cove Vineyards wedding!

My favorite groom’s cake possibly! A Canon Camera! With the back LCD and edible prints!

I loved the colors Erika chose for her Portland World Trade Center wedding! It is not always easy to make the blue work but her wedding party rocked it!
One of the most lovely things was Erika’s grandfather officiated the wedding at the Portland World Trade center! It was a very touching moment!

Here are some quick highlights from Stephanie and Wiley’s wedding at the LDS Brogden Building and reception following at Abernethy Center in Oregon City! I have never seen a couple that laughs so much! It is contagious. My favorite parts of their wedding include the custom cuff link’s made by Wiley’s relative, and an Italian Soda bar. They also had a very cute video interview about themselves and the bubble send off worked really well!

You just realize how nice and genuine Jerae and Steve are the moment you meet them. They are super sweet together and a joy to work with. Their wedding reflected their easy going and fun personalities. One of my favorite details was Jerae making her own brooch bridal bouquet with brooches from Ebay and Etsy (and lace around the handle is from a family heirloom wedding dress). Mike Piper with An Affair To Remember did a wonderful job with the flowers and Garden Vineyards is such a gorgeous location to start out with, not much needs to be done!
The wedding favors are seeds to plant! One of my favorite things is the presence of kids at weddings, and there were quite a few super cute kids! Oh cake is by Beaverton Bakery, and hair and make up was by Heidi Cuthbert of National Beauty. The DJ is one of my favorites, Maushole Productions. Food, amazing as usual, is from Art of Catering.
Enjoy!

This is one of my favorites: The groomsman on the right forgot to turn off his cell phone, and of course it rang during ceremony. The ring bearer’s reaction is priceless!

Casey and Luke’s McMenamins Edgefield Administrator’s House wedding was simply full of vintage charm, color and warmth. Casey did most of the details herself. With such a group of fun people, everything turned out beautiful. Kay Dietl of Flowers For You brought to life Casey’s vision of color wonderfully. And
Vagabond Opera, one of my favorite bands, rocked the crowd in their own unique fashion. The cake was an art work in itself, and that is thanks to Le Cookie Monkey! Casey’s beautiful vintage wedding dress and accessories made our life much easier as well! Luke also rocked his suit and groomsmen were wearing fun colorful socks! This was simply one of the most colorful weddings we photographed!
See the second photograph below for a very funny picture!

Laura and Johnny are two world travelers who decided to have their wedding in beautiful Sayulita. The getting ready was at Villa Amor, and their Sayulita wedding ceremony and reception was at Don Pedros palapa overlooking the Playa Los Muertos in Sayulita, Mexico. After the ceremony, mariachis escorted them to Playa Los Muertos where they had a champagne toast. Catering was of course by Don Pedro’s, who once again was flawless.
One of their guests made (in Mexico, no less) home made marshmallows. So there were s’mores galore and also a the churro guy was there and who can resist that?
Yazmin from Sea of Dreams Wedding once again did a great job!
Venue: Don Pedros palapa
Coordinator: Yazmin Gizeh (Sea of Dreams Wedding coordinator)
