For blog posts, however, I use a NYTimes link generator that saves you an your audience from having to "log in." Check it out here - http://nytimes.blogspace.com/genlink (just set the Bookmarklet up on your browser window, view pages in NYT and when you want to generate an archival link just click the bookmarklet ... then copy and paste that link here in your blog ... voila!)
