I had the pleasure of attending the Portland NACE event at the Lawrence Gallery. The sponsors for this event were myself and Lawrence Gallery, Vibrant Table, Torii Mor Winery, Sweet Masterpiece Chocolates, Garden Vineyards. Everything went great, and Jules Rupae from Another Perfect Production and Kristina Lazos from Hilton ran the show expertly!
Here is a link to the whole set of photos.

I had the pleasure of photographing the the grand re-opening of the renowned furniture brand Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams on West Burnside. The event was also a fundraiser for the Q-Center.
The event was expertly catered by Vibrant Table, and DJ’ed by Lady Bunny (some of you may recognize from movie Wigstock). Mayor Sam Adams did the ribbon cutting with Bob Williams. Two excellent scotch cocktails were served by the talented bartenders.
The Portland store was a licensed store that was privately owned and operated, but now it will be owned and run by Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.
Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is a very environmentally friendly company, and they have also been recognized for their philanthropic work. They help those with life-challenging illnesses through groups including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. And they are seen as a major force for gay rights by many, including The Human Rights Campaign, where Mitchell served on the Board for seven years, Out magazine, which named him to 2007’s “Top 50 Most Powerful Gay People in America”, and The Advocate, which gave him a 2006 “People of the Year Award.”
You can see the whole event here and purchase prints. The event code is “mgbw” (no quotes).

Esther and Russel had a fun filled wedding! The ceremony was at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden and then the ceremony was at the fabulous Hotel Deluxe. I love the vintage look of Hotel Deluxe, which definitely made for some unique backdrops.
During the trip from the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, we spotted a beautiull rainbow and made good use of it! The water front was also great for some pictures as most people stayed indoors due to rain!

Lauren and Channing had a fun filled wedding at the Garden Vineyards. The day was perfect, not too hot, not too cold, the food was fantastic, and everybody had a great time! Michael Allen Harrison, pianist, and Tanner Johnson, violinist, performed great music for the guests. Teonna Earp was the coordinator and the florist, and it was some of the most creative and amazing flower arrangements I ever seen. Garden Vineyards was the perfect back drop for the wedding. I was also very impressed with how the cupcakes were hanging from a cupcake “tree”. Beautiful!
Lauren looked stunning in her Monique Lhuillier gown and Jimmy Choo shoes. Her hair was a beautiful vintage style.
Since we have a lot of photos, I am breaking it in to 2 parts - to see the rest of the pictures, click here: Part 2 - the Reception.

Molly and Jason had a beautiful wedding at the Governor Hotel! I had recently photographed Molly’s sister Kelly at the Oregon Golf Club.
Molly looked absolutely stunning with her dress from Anna’s Bridal. The flowers were by Star Flower. Catering was top notch by Jake’s Catering.
One of the highlights was the little photo shoot we did outdoors. It was very cool.

I was honored to be invited to the launch party for the National Association of Catering Executives. The event was at The Nines Hotel, and it was a blast. Nines Hotel was a beautiful backdrop (I can’t wait to shoot another Nines Hotel Wedding!). The cocktails and food were out of this world, and the rooftop was beautiful. I ran into many of the top vendors in Portland, it was great to catch up! Below are couple pictures with my point and shot (a Canon SD870, one of the best P&S’s in my opinion).

Brandi and Andrew started their morning off at the Vancouver Hilton getting ready for their big day. Once everybody was ready they all headed to St. James Catholic Church a few blocks away. Brandi and her father had the best ride though in her dad’s super cool vintage car! Their ceremony was at Vancouver St. James Church, which has one of the most stunning ceilings I’ve ever seen! After the ceremony their friends and family lined the steps of the church to greet them with bubbles as they exited the church. We drove South to the East Portland waterfront for some fun and romantic photos afterward. For the reception we headed to the West side’s Portland World Trade Center, which is an amazing downtown location with graced with abundant glass architecture with dramatic views of the Willamette River and the Salmon Street Fountain. I love the lighting at Portland World Trade Center, just yummy!

Corinna and Julie tied the knot at the family Christmas tree farm. It was a beautiful affair! Julie had a custom suit made for herself at Duchess, a custom vintage inspired suit maker. Corinna had a beautiful colorful dress as well, and it was made by Elizabeth Dye at English Depot. Julie arrived at the wedding on a Kubota ATV driven by the two ring bearers!
One of the highlights was that the drinks were made by Mint Restaurant/Bar. Corinna told me that it was one of the first things they booked. The cocktails looked great and the guests really enjoyed them. What a cool idea! The catering was by Wild Pear catering in Salem, they did a great job! DJ was Dj Beyonda.
We later did a great photo shoot with Corinna’s sister’s horse. I love horses, so that was really fun for me!
