Joe & Carrie - Vegas Baby, Vegas!

We had a fantastic time with Joe and Carrie at Vegas! I met Joe and Carrie when they came down from Tri-cities to get their love story engagement photos taken. They liked what they saw and we ended up shooting their wedding at Vegas too! What a blast! The ceremony was at South Chapel of Bellagio and the reception was at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant - great view and great food!

Overall, a fantastic time. Joe looked super handsome and Carrie was very beautiful. The ladies at Bellagio Salon did a fantastic job. At one point, there was a huge crowd at the windows of the salon because of all the flashes going off while we were shooting and Carrie looked so great, people thought it was a celebrity wedding.

Photographer’s Rights

This is a cool file about photographer’s rights. There is for example a misconception that private parties such as security guards (like in concerts, malls, ballroom’s etc) can confiscate your film. This is not true. I advise everyone to be respectful, but also it is a good idea to know what is legal and what is not.

Joe and Carrie’s Wedding is coming up next!

This is a wedding I shot at Bellagio and then reception at Paris Hotel. What a truly stunning couple! Here is a teaser. The rest will be up this week! (a little posed, not my norm, sorry!)

Staci and Adam!

I just finished editing Staci and Adam’s wedding. They got married at the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom. This is a very unique place with cool blue ceilings and very classy architecture. As a little trivia, I actually played in a movie here about 6 years ago, The Ann and Aby Story. They needed some swing dance extras, so a bunch of us swing dancers showed up.

Staci and Adam’s wedding was rocking. The dancing was super fun with everyone on the dance floor! We also had some cool shots when I took them out walking for some fun shots. The couple then flew to Cook Islands for their honeymoon. I am so super jealous.

Here are some photos from their wedding:

Kim & Beth’s Commitment Ceremony

I just finished editing Kim & Beth’s commitment ceremony. It was at their spectacular house with a great view. What I really loved shooting about this ceremony were the kids and also some low light stuff. I love photographing kids - that is one area of my business I will market much more.

I am doing more and more same-sex weddings, so feel free to get in touch with me.

Here are some photos from this fun evening (you can see more here):

What’s happening!

Sorry it has been a long time I posted. I was very busy editing couple weddings, getting ready for Northwest Wedding Showcase on the 12th and also working on my studio. I was sharing my studio with another photographer but I took over the full space now and am working on some cool studio displays, some new super classy sample albums and also new furniture. It is very exciting!

Oregonian Article - Here it is!

Some of you missed the article at the Oregonian and wanted to see it online. I asked Jan Behrs, the talented writer and she said it was ok to reproduce it here. So with permission, here it is. Click on it to see a larger, readible version. Wish they had my face there too :)
ps. I do not make 120K. Hopefully soon.

Sorry I have been away!

I am sorry I could not update my blog as often lately - I was not feeling that great and had a ton of meetings, a fantastic wedding shoot and many many hours of editing. I wish I was less anal sometimes, I would sleep way more!
