Stacey and Lance’s Wedding at Kruger’s Farm

Stacey and Lance had a swing dancing wedding at the Kruger’s Farm. They had swing dance instructors (amazing Melissa Roane) and also the fabuluous Midnight Serenaders as their band! Lance sported an amazing suit, and Stacey looked gorgeous in her wedding dress. Catering was by Vibrant Table and it was top notch, as usual. Stacey and Lance’s first dance was a well executed swing dance routine.

They also served pie instead of wedding cake. The baker was Mehri Bakery and the cakes were awesome. My tip for the night was a marionberry cake and it was delicious (thanks guys!)

I don’t know what it is about the Kruger’s Farms but this is the second wedding where the rings were forgotten for the ceremony there! It was funny, you can see in the pictures where the ring bearer says “I don’t know where they are!” Very funny!

Brandi and Andrew’s Wedding at World Trade Center in Portland (Associate Coverage)

Brandi and Andrew started their morning off at the Vancouver Hilton getting ready for their big day.  Once everybody was ready they all headed to St. James Catholic Church a few blocks away. Brandi and her father had the best ride though in her dad’s super cool vintage car!  Their ceremony was at Vancouver St. James Church, which has one of the most stunning ceilings I’ve ever seen!  After the ceremony their friends and family lined the steps of the church to greet them with bubbles as they exited the church.   We drove South to the East Portland waterfront for some fun and romantic photos afterward.  For the reception we headed to the West side’s Portland World Trade Center, which is an amazing downtown location with graced with abundant glass architecture with dramatic views of the Willamette River and  the Salmon Street Fountain. I love the lighting at Portland World Trade Center, just yummy!

Christy and Brian’s Maui Hawaii Wedding

Christy and Brian decided to have their wedding at a beautiful, sunny location - Maui, Hawaii!

The wedding was set at the beach - right before Christy started walking down the “aisle”, a very short rain came down. It was all worth it though because there was a spectacular rainbow! You can see it below! During the reception, the catering manager pulled out his ukelele and started singing - what a beautiful voice!

A wedding in Maui was also a great reason for the guests to visit Hawaii! Since it was such an intimate group, everybody had a great time!

Guests and family can see the rest of the wedding pictures here. Please ask for the password from the bride and groom.

Teresa and Alton’s wedding was held at one of our favorite venues, the Acadian Ballroom.  Their ceremony was in the center of the ballroom with a stunning array of beautiful flowers from Event Floral that amplified the natural style of the ballroom itself.  Once the ceremony was over the party began, big time!  Cocktail hour, Dinner, and Dancing.  The works!

Teri and Andrew’s Wedding in Downtown Portland

Teri and Andrew were married at the lovely St. Patrick’s church in the North West portion of Portland.  I love the entrance to the church so much! Especially the stairs winding down both sides.  After their ceremony the couple headed to Kells Irish Pub in downtown Portland for their reception, and a Guinness!

Ophelia and Matthew at the Beautiful Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom

Ophelia and Matthew were married at the gorgeous Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom, having both their ceremony and reception taking place in the large open room.  Chinese traditions such as a tea ceremony during the reception and special details found throughout the wedding day, made the whole event both extra special and unique to Ophelia and Matthew.  We also took the time to walk the streets of downtown that evening - this made for some romantic shots of just the two of them, peppered in amongst Portland’s downtown scenery such as Old Town and the Max line.

Their choice of a warm winter red for the details looked gorgeous juxtaposed to the incredible blue ceiling in the ballroom itself.   Blue Hour Flowers incorporated that same red into all the bouquet’s and the groomsmen boutonnieres, creating flowers and details that visually popped throughout the room.

We also had the pleasure of working again with Travis, of Shields Films.  The evening was further complimented with music during both the ceremony and reception and was provided by Stephen, of Celebration Music & Events.

Rachel and Andy at Acadian Ballroom!

Rachel and Andy tied the knot at the Acadian Ballroom, a classy ballroom for wedding receptions at Portland’s Alberta Arts District. Getting ready was at the Heathman Hotel, which provided some great window lighting for beautiful b&w pictures. We stopped by the Park Blocks for some portraits where Andy saw Rachel for the first time and could not hold back his tears. We got some more photos in front of the Oregon Historical Society and then headed to the Acadian Ballroom! The ballroom was beautifully decorated for the ceremony and then immediately after the ceremony, it was quickly switched by the talented staff to the reception seating.

Couple cute highlights from the wedding: The couple asked the guests to leave their favorite recipes for them (picture below), and also they made some goodie bags for the little ones to have a good time at the wedding!

Rachel and Andy put some beautiful pictures on the tables from their past couple years, and the cake table had pictures of their parents and grandparents pictures of cutting cake (cake by Beaverton Bakery).  Tables were decoratedby beautiful flowers from Sophisticated Floral Designs.

Lauren and Keith’s Wedding at the Portland Art Museum

We had a lot of fun at Lauren and Keith’s wedding! Cowboy boots and hats, mariachi band, gay and lesbian party going on upstairs!

We started the day at Elk Rock Gardens of the Bishop’s Close, a fantastic place! The ceremony was at the Christ Church Episcopal Parish in Lake Oswego, and then the reception was at the beautiful Portland Art Museum Fields Ballroom. The planning was done expertly by Amy from Blush Bridal, flowers were by Francoise Weeks. The museum looked beautiful with all the decorations and flowers. The couple even had a mariachi band to entertain the guests during the cocktail hour. Event Team NW entertained the guests with expert DJ’ing.

Meanwhile another fun event was happening at the Kridel Ballroom - Coronation 2008 by Rose Court. This provided some interesting photography opportunities. Everybody had lots of fun, and Lauren and Keith even got to check out the upstairs party for a bit. The night ended with a beautiful dance by bride and groom surrounded by guests holding candles. (The whole wedding can be viewed here)
