Marissa and Daniel had their wedding at the stunning Skamania Lodge overlooking the scenic Columbia Gorge. I have always wanted to photograph a wedding at Skamania lodge as I have eaten their awesome Sunday brunch many times and have always been mesmerized by the location.
This being a Jewish wedding, there were many Jewish traditions too, my favorite it is the hora (chair dance) of course. I love seeing the looks on the faces of whoever is being lifted in the air. Since their wedding was on July the 11th they also served Slurpees to their guests, honoring their 7-11 date. Marissa was a trouper - she had a cast/boot on her leg but you could not tell from the way she danced all night! The groom had scrabble cuff links - very cool! Marissa’s mother, Carol, is an accomplished photographer - check out her beautiful work here. Her dad, Daniel Isaak is also a very respected rabbi.

Anna and Jan came out from New York to have their wedding in beautiful Hood River, Oregon at the Cathedral Ridge Winery. The winery was a pretty cool place with views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. As party favors they gave out mason jars filled with fresh blueberries. In the evening the sun sank below the horizon and the lighting became amazing, especially on Mt. Hood.

Wendy and Jeff’s wedding day was so much fun! It just happened to be a ferociously windy day! Crown Point was so windy that 20 minutes before the wedding, they decided to move their ceremony from Crown Point Park overlooking the Columbia River Gorge to the beautiful grounds of the Riverview Restaurant on the banks of the Sandy River.
We still got up there after the ceremony with the whole wedding party in a stretch Hummer, it was breathtaking. Once we returned to the restaurant the entire place was decorated with an array of beautiful arrangements from Sammy’s Flowers. To cap the evening off everybody enjoyed great food and dancing. Riverview Restaurant is a great setting and the staff was very friendly!

Here are some quick pictures as a preview for Jamie and Jordan’s wedding at the gorgeous Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast. The catering was by Simpatica and they did a great job. One of the highlights was the amazing pie’s. Serving pie instead of cake is becoming more popular, and from what I tasted so far, I have no problem with that!

Sarah and Patrick had a lovely wedding at the beautiful Blackberry Hall. The day started with a little oops when Patrick, on his quest for some pear brandy and whiskey broke some glasses at the McMenamins store, but that was the only misstep during the whole day. Everything ran smoothly, there were lots of dancing and everybody enjoyed the good times!
I also have to mention the many different types of pies that were waiting for the guests and the cool pie topper!

Shake it like a polaroid picture!

This was my first time at Edgefield this year, for Kim and Chris. Some years I do 7-8 weddings there and sometimes just 1-2.
We had a really really fun time with Kim and Chris at the wedding! The ceremony was great with DJ’s officiating, and some great speeches as well.
here is a quick sneak peek, straight out of camera. I am keeping most of my favorites for the full edit
