Amber and Matt tied the knot at Villa de Roja, directly off the beach! The reception was at the beautifully decorated amazing Mar Plata Restaurant. In my opinion, Mar Plata is one of the best restaurants I have been to, so if you are in the Sayulita, Punta Mita, Bucerias, Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta area, make sure to visit them. It is worth a trip!
Here is the coolest thing: the wedding party was accompanied by a super friendly dog the whole week, and he invited himself to the wedding and the reception too. In fact, the doggie was so loved, Amber and Matt adopted him and he is arriving in US soon!

I love weddings at McMenamins Edgefield - beautiful murals and paintings, great light and a lot of fun couples! Lindsay and John were such a couple with lots of great friends and family.
One of the fun parts of the wedding was at the end - all the boys got together and serenaded Lindsay. Everybody danced to the music of King Pins. Lots of fun!

Many people do not know that a place like the Grotto exist in Portland. This beautiful 62 acre Catholic Shrine and botanical garden, also known as The National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother, is located near 82nd and Sandy, and is truly a world away from the surroundings. You can even take an elevator to a second level with gorgeous views and more amazing gardens. The Grotto only allows one wedding per week, and I had the chance to photograph there last week. It was a beautiful setting with some truly great weather.
The following is a quick selection from last week’s wedding. Vesna and Tony later moved the party to Portland Art Museum Kridel Grand Ballroom, decorated beautifully by Vibrant Table. There were multiple bands, one of which was Tony’s band. It was a musical feast to say the least!

April and Michael had a great wedding at Mt Hood Bed & Breakfast, located 30 minutes from the Columbia River Gorge. This was my first time at Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast. I think it is a gorgeous location for outdoor weddings that have a very “Oregon” feel, similar to some other great outdoor locations like Bridal Veil and Camp Colton.
Here are some quick picks that caught my eye. I am keeping some of the best shots for later! The full wedding will be coming up soon!

Premier Catering did a great jo, there were oysters with BBQ sauce and some grilled shrimp kebabs.

Espresso Bar - this little guy got a chocolate drink

Butterflies were all around!

Cool mike!

Wow, what a party. This was my first wedding reception and ceremony at Bridal Veil Lakes and what a wonderful, gorgeous place!
Here are some sneak peek pictures from last night. MUCH more to come soon:

Wow, this was such a fun wedding. When I first met Mandi and Brian, and they told me the wedding will be at Joseph, OR, I thought Joseph where? It is NE corner of Oregon pretty much, a 6 hour drive. I made a mini vacation out of it and glad I did. Joseph is gorgeous, as you will see from the photographs, and Mandi and Brian are awesome. We had a great time and got some amazing shots if I may say so! The ceremony was at a house overlooking the Wallowa Lake, and it just was so majestic!

Gerry and Kevin got married in a garden ceremony. Gerry is from England so they had some nice different touches at the wedding! They had their dog be the ring bearer. After they walked to the “altar”, they sang Love is In The Air with all the guests. After the ceremony, guests had afternoon tea. The second part of the wedding reception was at the Power Station Attic at Edgefield at Troutdale.
For favors, they had English Crackers. It was fun!
