Nick and Anna’s Awesome San Francisco Wedding

Nick and Anna are long time friends of mine. When I was asked to shoot their wedding in San Francisco, I was very honored. I also know how detail oriented they are, and I knew it was going to be fun, well planned, and full of great details. And apparently there would be a lot of cute kids! I love children so it was really fun to get some good pictures of them. Nick and Anna brought their tandem bike all the way down from Portland for their San Francisco wedding - life is better in tandem. And who does not like a wedding where there is awesome bbq?? (oh they got served coffee at the ceremony - they had met at a coffee shop). They also got serenated a capella style by Anna’s relatives!

Shanelle and Shawn at Gray Gables Estate

I knew Shanelle from swing dancing and we kept in touch. When she found the man of her dreams, she gave me a call. It was a lovely wedding at Gray Gables Estate. Interestingly enough, I have never photographed there before so I was also excited about that opportunity. Shanelle is a very elegant woman, and her dress matched her completely. They have been taking dance lessons for their first dance choreography from Leilani Nakagawa. Even though Shawn was very nervous, he did amazing! It was also nice to see some of my friends from swing dancing, and a chance to photograph them!

Shannon and Woojay’s Wedding at Elk Cove Vineyards

Shannon and Woojay’s Elk Cove Vineyards wedding had a ton of unique touches! From my favorite groom wedding cake (a Canon camera groom wedding cake, yay!) to a cutie dog ring bearer to amazing food, everything was top notch. We love Elk Cove Vineyards for their wine already (try their Pinot Gris - named to Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2010!) but the setting is gorgeous as well of course! (See our other Elk Cove Vineyards weddings!) And their “guest book” wasa hand made painting where guests were asked to leave a finger print to form leaves with different colors!

Here are some pictures from their Elk Cove Vineyards wedding!

Colorful Lake Oswego Wedding of Nicole and Alex!

Nicole and Alex tied the knot at a garden ceremony at a beautiful private residence in Lake Oswego! There was no shortage of color, from the striking decorations and flowers by Monty to glass art work by Chihuly.

I had a chance to work with some amazing vendors as well! Austie Eckley, one of Portland’s premier make up artists did a fantastic job with Nicole and the weddign party! Delicious food by Food In Bloom, gorgeous flowers and coordination by  Monty from A Fine Flower Company and awesome bangra, jai ho! and bollywood party by DJ Prashant. In fact, DJ Prashant (and Armaan) got the crowd going crazy with their fun style and had the bride and groom on stage showing how it is done!

Erika and Walter at the Portland World Trade Center

I loved the colors Erika chose for her Portland World Trade Center wedding! It is not always easy to make the blue work but her wedding party rocked it!

One of the most lovely things was Erika’s grandfather officiated the wedding at the Portland World Trade center! It was a very touching moment!

Peninsula Park Wedding of Alex and Shane

Alex and Shane had a low key and intimate wedding at the Peninsula Park in Portland, Oregon. I love shooting at the Peninsula Park, I used to live nearby and always enjoyed the beauty of it. Peninsula Park was Portland’s first public rose garden and the official rose of Portland, named Mme. Caroline Testout, was cultivated at Peninsula Park. Ok, enough trivia, now to more details.

Alex wore these amazing shoes! I love them. And Shane was like a GQ model. It was strictly family affair and featured some amazing Indian food. Getting ready was at A Painted Inn bed & breakfast, and the reception at their house. The flowers are by Punch and they were beautiful! This was a short coverage but we got great photos!

Stephanie & Wiley at Abernethy Center!

Here are some quick highlights from Stephanie and Wiley’s wedding at the LDS Brogden Building  and reception following at Abernethy Center in Oregon City! I have never seen a couple that laughs so much! It is contagious. My favorite parts of their wedding include the custom cuff link’s made by Wiley’s relative, and an Italian Soda bar. They also had a very cute video interview about themselves and the bubble send off worked really well!
