We’ve known Jason and Emily for some time now, and it was an honor to shoot their Fall wedding. We met up with Emily and her crew at the Burnside Proper salon, and then we followed them to McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale. They had a very unique ceremony where their friends and family were holding candles as they circled Emily and Jason. Jason brought his turntables and after the ceremony we had a super fun dance party. Arian our associate photographer even got a chance to spin some records at the end of the night.

This is first of the series of sneak peeks from my weddings from my last Mexico trip. Amber and Matt tied the knot at Villa de Roja, which is directly on Playa de San Francisco. Beautiful location! The reception was at the amazing Mar Plata Restaurant, run by Bruno. Mar Plata is one of the best restaurants I have been to, so if you are in the Sayulita, Punta Mita, Bucerias, Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta area, make sure to visit them.
Here is the coolest thing: the wedding party was followed by a super friendly dog the whole week, and he invited himself to the wedding and the reception too. In fact, the doggie was so loved, Amber and Matt adopted the doggie and he is arriving in US soon!

Vesna and Tony had their beautiful ceremony at The Grotto - the setting was very serene with sun peeking through the trees. Afterward the reception was at the Portland Art Museum Kridel Grand Ballroom, decorated beautifully by Vibrant Table. There was no shortage of awesome music, punctuated by Tony’s own band!

Joni and Jeff had their wedding with friends and family at the Columbia Gorge Hotel, with breathtaking views of the Columbia River. Their ceremony was held on the edge of the Gorge with the river right behind them. After the ceremony everybody enjoyed the ambiance of the historic hotel.

I think one of the most “oh my god!” moment we saw shooting weddings happened at Allison and Michael’s wedding - Michael reached for the ring shortly before the ceremony, and then realized the rings were not there. The sequence is pretty cool (in hindsight) and the rings came in later after the ceremony and they did a mini ring ceremony. Everything else ran smoothly as Emee from EJP Events did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly.
Other cool thing highlights: Allison and Michael’s dog, from Oregon Humane Society, was their dog ring bearer (and did a great job!) and they also had a fire dancer!
Catering was done by Vibrant Table, and make up was by fabuluous Event Cosmetics. The scene was beautiful and I love oregon farm weddings!

Christine and Matthew were married in Salem’s Zenith Vineyard. The vineyard was in a beautiful rural area, we even crossed the Willamette River on a ferry boat to get there, it was pretty cool. Everything looked spectacular from the table settings and food by Vibrant Table to the flowers by Green Thumb. The whole day was quite remarkable, especially the sunset over the vineyards. There was also the super funky DJ Nickel that they brought up from LA who had the dance floor packed the rest of the entire evening. It was so much fun!

Sarah and Tony were married at The Resort at the Mountain in Welches, Oregon. The Resort at the Mountain is a gorgeous golf resort at the base of Mt. Hood boasting breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, and the Zig Zag river. Their ceremony was a top a hill overlooking the golf course. Sarah’s brother and Tony’s sister both delivered heart warming performances during the ceremony which brought both tears and smiles to all the guests. During the toasts, Tony’s brothers showed a classic video which Tony had made of himself as a teenager flexing his “pythons” for the camera. The video went on for about 8 minutes, the whole place was alive with laughter, it was great. After the toasts and the cake, the dance floor was occupied all night long ending with Sarah’s rendition of Mr. Roboto. Domo Arigato.

Ada and Brad had a very unique wedding, starting at the First Baptists Church in Portland, and then moving to Governor Hotel Heritage Ballroom. They had around 400 fun guests. Ada had three dresses for the various events, such as the tea ceremony - a traditional white dress, a red dress and a pink dress. Their wedding place cards were golf themed. The table decorations were gorgeous!
