This is as close to perfection as it gets! Gorgeous couple, great planner, elegant flowers, beautiful location! Zenith Vineyard is one of the prettiest location to have an Oregon vineyard wedding. The weather was perfect for a summer wedding, not too hot, not too cold! I love how Jennifer Fox from Perfect Planning was able to bring the vision of Kylie and Jim to reality, with help from Geranium Lake Flowers. There was a blend of antlers and elegant flowers, in fact, you can see how Jim’s boutonniere mimicked the antlers. Great job! Another cool idea was to have a surprise groom’s cake! You need to check it out! It was a bighorn sheep!
Working with wonderful vendors makes a wedding run very smoothly - and this was basically a best of Portland production! I love working with Event Cosmetics and Katherine Sealy was there herself, making sure the final touches were perfect. Pressue Point band is probably one of the most fun bands I have listened to at weddings and you can see the energy of the dance floor from the pictures. Cake was by Dessert Labs. The catering by Vibrant Table was excellent - flower, as I mentioned before, are by Geranium Lake flowers! I was very impressed with so many of the details that I included more than I usually do! Kylie’s dress is from Divine Designs, and by Elizabeth Fillmore!

Shannon and Woojay’s Elk Cove Vineyards wedding had a ton of unique touches! From my favorite groom wedding cake (a Canon camera groom wedding cake, yay!) to a cutie dog ring bearer to amazing food, everything was top notch. We love Elk Cove Vineyards for their wine already (try their Pinot Gris - named to Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2010!) but the setting is gorgeous as well of course! (See our other Elk Cove Vineyards weddings!) And their “guest book” wasa hand made painting where guests were asked to leave a finger print to form leaves with different colors!
Here are some pictures from their Elk Cove Vineyards wedding!

My favorite groom’s cake possibly! A Canon Camera! With the back LCD and edible prints!

Casey and Luke’s McMenamins Edgefield Administrator’s House wedding was simply full of vintage charm, color and warmth. Casey did most of the details herself. With such a group of fun people, everything turned out beautiful. Kay Dietl of Flowers For You brought to life Casey’s vision of color wonderfully. And
Vagabond Opera, one of my favorite bands, rocked the crowd in their own unique fashion. The cake was an art work in itself, and that is thanks to Le Cookie Monkey! Casey’s beautiful vintage wedding dress and accessories made our life much easier as well! Luke also rocked his suit and groomsmen were wearing fun colorful socks! This was simply one of the most colorful weddings we photographed!
See the second photograph below for a very funny picture!

Rachel and Joe had their wedding at McMenamins Kennedy School in North East Portland. They had a “fantasy optional” theme, where a lot of people dressed up in different attire from a knight in shining armor to a whimsical wood elf. Media Jockeys kept the people dancing all day long, even pulling out a rare Star Trek instrumental piece during the ceremony.

I had a chance to photograph my good friend Duane’s wedding in Mexico in the small village of Playa Litibu just North of Puerto Vallarta. It was really fun to be in Mexico with a bunch of my friends, and to shoot their wedding on top of that. Amanda wore a radiant red dress that looked amazing against the Mexican background, it was so awesome to see her walking down the beach to meet Duane at the altar. After the sun set Duane and Amanda pulled out some Thai lanterns and gave them to all the guests to release into the sky, it was awesome!

Sara and Rob had their wedding at the McMenamins Kennedy School in the old Gym. Their wedding musician was Jeff Clark, an amazing guitarist from Key West Florida, he was someone that Sara and Rob met on vacation and had play their wedding. He rocked! They had some great decorations too, but the coolest was the kids tables filled with candy, fun toys and costumes for the children. Sometimes it’s good to be a kid!
