I love having my clients revisit me. you might remember Anna and Brian’s gorgeous Oregon Golf Club Wedding. Well, now they have a new addition to their family, and we had a chance to photograph Jackson!
This was a really fun shoot, I have to admit, whenever you are trying to capture those fleeting moments - it is fun! I also got peed on while I was shooting. Maybe revenge? Not sure! I love how we got some great black and white baby pictures! (we do color too, of course!)
I wanted to post some of the recent maternity pictures I did here in Portland, Oregon. I love how artistic and unique they turn out. I think pregnancy is a beautiful thing and I strive to capture this beauty and emotional connection. I strongly recommend all pregnant women to document this unique time in their life. I was hoping to attend the ball when the phone rang and I was invited to cover this event at the beautiful Tiffany Center! What a coincidence! The decorations at the Tiffany Center Crystal Ballroom was by FireWorks! events. I have done couple weddings there before, but this was my first non-wedding event. As a bonus, Stolen Sweets were playing so I had a chance to practice my swing dancing! In addition, BodyVox dance company did a great performance on the stage!

Autumn and Guy contacted me couple years ago to shoot their wedding. Unfortunately I was already booked. Couple years later, they touched base again for me to take some maternity pictures for them. Here are couple!
Portland has a great swing dance community and they came together to host the 2008 Portland Lindy Exchange. Some of you might remember the pictures from the 2006 exchange here. I can’t believe it has been two years!
I was able to attend all three nights, however, the second night was right after a fantastic but long wedding I shot, so I didn’t bring my camera that night. Since I have not been out dancing as much lately, I didn’t take as many photos but rather took advantage of the great crowds and got my dancing fix in. Despite that, there are still over 200 photos.

Mike and Jessica had a crazy fun wedding at the Riverside Golf Club - even the rain didn’t stop this wonderful couple from having a great time with their friends. The ceremony was at the Oaks Pioneer Church at Sellwood, a historic church. Then the party moved to the gorgeous Riverside Golf and Country Club. Mike is a regular at rodeo’s so Jessica surprised him with some cool cowboy boots.

One of the best places to take dance lessons is Northwest Conservatory of Dance in Hillsboro. I had the pleasure of photographing their dance recital a little while ago, and got some great images. This time it was time to photograph the young dancers at the studio! Check out what we came up with. Parents of the dancers can see the whole set here (password required).
We stopped by a great swing dance in Portland at Imago Theater. It was beautifully organized and the bands were great. Here are some photos, and even more can be found here.
